Welcome to the web site of the Berg Law Offices.  I concentrate my Hopkins legal practice on helping people who need assistance in the following areas:

In addition to my three main areas of practice, I represent owners of small businesses during the critical phases of startup, purchase, and sale of businesses, as well as providing legal advice and counsel on various contract matters.  I work with clients to protect their businesses from audits and lawsuits down the road.  I also help business owners protect their personal assets in the event of legal claims against their business.

I help nonprofit organizations become established by creating their articles of incorporation, by-laws and other legal documents, as well as providing assistance with contracts and leases.  I offer a reduced fee to nonprofit clients.

I have been very involved with the people and communities of the western suburbs of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul for more than 28 years, serving as mayor of Hopkins and as chairman of the board of directors for TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.  I was the president of the board of directors and also one of the founders of the Hopkins, Minnetonka Family Resource Center.  I served as president of the board of directors for Hopkins Center For The Arts, Inc.
